About Asha Carolyn Young
Born in Chiang Mai, Thailand, I've lived in California since high school. After many years in the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved to the northern California coast to enjoy open spaces and nature. I paint in several modes: plein air and representational painting with oil on canvas; mixed media abstracts on paper and canvas; and painting on old wooden doors. In addition to painting, I enjoy writing, and I've written three books about painting: CARRY YOUR OWN JOY: The Abstract Paintings and Life of Hari E. Thomas, a San Francisco Artist ( https://store.bookbaby.com/book/Carry-Your-Own-Joy ) JOURNEY TO THE TRACKS: Industrial Landscape Paintings and Sketches of Oakland, California ( https://store.bookbaby.com/book/Journey-To-The-Tracks...
